Hare Wynn represents area baseball star injured by falling tree on golf course
Last summer, tragedy struck local high school baseball standout Grayson Pope during a golf outing. On June 6, 2023, Grayson was playing golf at the Trussville Country Club golf course when a storm hit the area. Storm winds knocked down a tree and tree limbs onto the golf cart that Grayson was driving. Grayson suffered traumatic brain injuries when he was hit by the falling tree and limbs, necessitating a 42-day hospital stay followed by months of rehabilitation.
Hare Wynn has filed a premises liability lawsuit against the owners and operators of the golf course on behalf of Grayson and his parents. As alleged in the complaint, the owners and operators of the golf course failed to install a storm warning system and further failed to remove the hazardous tree and tree limbs. The complaint is available here – Pope Complaint.
