Hare Wynn welcomes two new lawyers

Justin is an experienced trial lawyer. Justin is a 2009 graduate of Cumberland School of Law and, prior to joining Hare Wynn, he practiced civil litigation for 15 years in his hometown, Jasper, Alabama. There, he successfully prosecuted wrongful death and personal injury claims across the legal spectrum, including medical malpractice, product liability, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, and environmental torts, recovering millions of dollars in compensation and support for hundreds of victims and their families. As part of Hare Wynn’s Medical Malpractice Team, today, Justin’s primary practice is dedicated to advocating for patients who have suffered harm because of negligent medical care.

Monroe graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2023, as a member of its nationally recognized trial team. Since then, Monroe has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits. He has successfully handled all aspects of jury trials from voir dire to closing arguments. Now, Monroe concentrates most of his practice on medical malpractice.
In its second century of practice, Hare Wynn has recovered billions of dollars for its clients in medical malpractice, personal injury, and class action cases. Hare Wynn is proud that Justin and Monroe will be helping to continue the firm’s legacy of success.

Hare Wynn wins $6 million wrongful death verdict in Dothan
Hare Wynn attorneys Ashley Peinhardt and Leon Ashford won a $6 million verdict for the family of Anne Davis, who died as a result of her doctor’s failure to identify an infection that led to sepsis. In 2017, Ms. Davis suffered severe pain after coming home following gallbladder surgery. As it turned out, Ms. Davis had a bile leak that had led to an infection. When Ms. Davis went to see the on-call doctor at a surgical clinic, however, she was told that it was okay for her to go home. Hours later, Ms. Davis developed sepsis and then died as a result. Experts testified at trial that the on-call doctor should have immediately sent Ms. Davis to the emergency room and that prompt treatment at the emergency room would have most likely prevented Ms. Davis’ death. The case was tried over the course of six days in Houston County, Alabama, and the jury deliberated for less than an hour before delivering its verdict on September 17.
Hare Wynn is one of the most prominent firms in Alabama that represents injured patients and their families in medical malpractice actions. Since 2013, Hare Wynn has recovered over $150 million for its clients in medical malpractice actions.
